چکیده
In Brazil, research related to the occurrence and prevention of debris flows is incipient when compared extent impacts caused by phenomena. There a need for further studies that consider susceptibility hazard, especially in areas are environmentally socioeconomically vulnerable. This study aimed at assessing debris-flow hazard Rio das Pedras watershed, Cubatão (State São Paulo, Brazil), based on set different physiographic parameters (geomorphological, morphometric, geological) application empirical models. The assessment was on: (1) evaluation history events region; (2) identification geomorphic controlling factors; (3) estimation magnitude potential event; (4) elements hazard. results show event would more severely impact Anchieta Highway (SP-150), gas pipeline GASAN, oil OSSP districts Pinhal do Miranda Cota 95. These highlight relevance geomorphological geological estimating runoff, which essential defining debris-flow-prone watershed.
